It is TRULY my pleasure to work with each and every one of your students every day. My goal is to foster inquiry, creativity, problem-solving, and independence throughout our days together!
Welcome to my page! First things first, I am SO PROUD to be a part of the teaching community at the Dale Street School. I love being a part of the Medfield community and working with all the great families I have gotten to interact with over the years! I grew up nearby in Walpole, MA and went to High School at Ursuline Academy in Dedham. It was there that I realized, through a service project, that I wanted teaching to be my career. I went to Emmanuel College in Boston, MA where I earned my Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Elementary Education and Liberal Studies as well as a minor in Psychology. Right after graduating I was eager to keep going with school so I started at Northeastern University where I completed my Master’s in Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a Specialization in Middle and High School Mathematics.
I began in the Medfield Public School District as a 1:1 Aide at the Ralph Wheelock Elementary School in 2009 while I was completing my Master's degree. After doing that for a year, I was welcomed into the Dale Street Community as a fifth grade teacher, then later began to teach fourth grade, and now I am back in fifth! This will be my eighth year as a classroom teacher and I am very much looking forward to a new beginning and exciting school year!
I currently live in Boston with my husband, son, and my adorable dog, Lenny. My spare time is filled with being a mom, taking classes to better myself in my profession, and reading. We try to get to Falmouth, Cape Cod as much as possible - the cape is my happy place!
My greatest mission for all of my students is to create a classroom full of lifelong learners. I aim to foster their love for learning and their understanding of the content. We will work on skills important for students to succeed in the 21st century and create a comfortable classroom environment to complement our learning.
My Main Goals: To make sure every student loves coming to school, feels safe, and is challenged academically. Please always let me know if there is ANY problem or your child is apprehensive. We are on the same team :)
