MATHWe have recently wrapped up Volume and are now working through measurement conversions. Our practice with the Customary Units are in full swing and we will begin Metric when we return from vacation. Students should have a conversion sheet in their homework folders to help assist them with their Math homework . ELAStudents have been working hard with their written responses to what we are reading. We have been working on their stamina and response skills to be sure they feel comfortable when testing after the break. Our current Writing unit is PERSUASION! Ask your students what topics they have chosen and what they are trying to persuade their audience to do. | SCIENCEWe are continuing to explore the various systems within Planet Earth - Atmosphere, Geosphere, Hydrosphere, and Biosphere. We are currently focused on the Biosphere as we explore a variety of ecosystems, food webs and food chains. We have some exciting additions coming to our Science classroom after April vacation! Be on the lookout for what these will be! SOCIAL STUDIESWe are in the midst of learning about the colonization of the United States! Soon we will begin our studies on the American Revolution. We've began to talk about some of the battles as we lead up to Patriots Day this coming Monday. |
